Getting Started
Where are we at present ?
The first step is to hold inter-state meetings with Governments both State & Federal, horse organisations & trail clubs. But we need funding !
These meetings will define what is intended, the needs of those involved & the parameters for achievement.
This great tourist opportunity can only succeed through cooperation.
Our research introduced us to people all over the world. The enthusiasm, support and excited interest was overwhelming.
The US Director of National Parks has invited us to do a video study tour of their extensive, trails system.
An official invitation is extended by 3 US States to do the same.
This video tour will give us the best information ever recorded on trail system design & management for cycling, walking & riding.
The Director of England's National Trail, now being built, has issued an invitation to do a UK video tour. It runs south from the Scottish border.
Much of the UK trail runs through private farms and farmers augment their income by providing campsites & meals.
We are in need of Sponsors ... to cover the $90,000 budget.
The tour will give us 3 productions.
One will focus on trail design features - good & not so good - & all aspects of trail management - good & not so good. This will provide invaluable information for the design, construction & management of the Horse Highway & Trails project
A second will focus on the UK farmer's involvement. We will interview many of them & show the result to our farmers along the Horse Highway & Trails project.
The third will be a commercial quality, public interest documentary for television. This will show the community what the Horse Highway & Trails project is all about and how much it can achieve.
When this has been televised
locally & internationally .......
We will undertake an international Feasibility Study - to determine just how we can best accommodate the World's 200 million plus trail users.
We have a detailed budget of $350,000 for the pre-approval, Stage 1 design of the project, simultaneously in Queensland & Western Australia.
We need Sponsors to support the budget & particularly the vehicles & equipment needed, itemised in "Current News."
This project is a thrilling adventure like no other in the World.
It is history making in so many wonderful ways.
